Once the doctoral candidate has been admitted to the doctoral programme, the Academic Committee will appoint a tutor. The tutor shall be proposed by the student at the time of pre-enrolment, providing evidence of his/her commitment.
When possible, tutor and supervisor shall be the same person, in which case it will only be necessary to issue one annual report on the research plan and the doctoral candidate’s activities, as tutor and supervisor.
All doctor’s degree holders of the University of Salamanca that are part of the doctoral programme and have proven research proficiency are eligible to be tutors (the list of researchers can be consulted in the Human Resources section of each doctoral programme).
